I've made several hopeful "improvements" to the lines this week, though the tendency of centrality in the totals still exists to some degree.
Keep in mind I've done nothing to alter the lines based on motivation. I'm of a mind that most teams show up to play until possibly the last game of the season, regardless of their record. As a handicapper with no connection to the psyche of any teams, gauging motivation and converting that to a pointspread is a near impossible quantifying task. In week 17 look for teams out of the playoffs to play a bit softer on defense, that's about all I'm willing to commit to.
